Parents of special needs kids get a break with new program

COBOURG, ON – Valerie Bradford, a Cobourg resident, knows firsthand what it takes to be a parent of a child with special needs. She also understands the need for down time for parents in similar situations. This inspired Bradford began a program – From The Inside Out – that runs on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church. This program is for children between the ages of 4-14 and it is completely free. The children will participate in activities that are centered around motor and social skills. This new program enables parents to take a 2-hour break to catch up on errands, take a nap, shop and perform other needed activities. In addition, on December 10th from 1-3 p.m. parents can drop off their children for any last minute holiday shopping. To read more about the From The Inside Out program, click the link below.
